TOMAHAWK

by Tom Soares

I was watching a episode of Hillbilly Blood when Spencer broke his tomahawk and Dave and Caleb made him a new one. Of course being on TV it only took a few minutes to make. (HA HA) What I was most impressed with was the knowledge of the history and the materials that Dave had, in fact so impressed that I squinted at the TV each time the name on the forge on the outside of the building came on until I finally saw that it read Calerin. I then whipped out the trusty google and sure enough there was a web site. I e-mailed Dave and asked Him if he would make me one and sure enough I am the proud owner of one of Dave and Caleb's tomahawks. I was even more impressed when I opened the box. In this day and age I can't express enough what a great feeling it is to hold something completely crafted by hand and done by Masters. Many thanks guys and now that a month has gone by I guess I can take it out from under my pillow!!
